A landscape of mirrored continents, visitors were invited to mark where they are from on a square of white paper, crumble it and place it carefully onto the map. In doing so ‘home’ resonated with the poems of children from the Oxford Spires Academy. A new geography emerged, a floating island suspended in the space and the sky. Inviting visitors to look out and through the digital soundscape of modems, telephone connections and radio signals to occupy a space of communication.
Exhibited at Other Worlds, The Story Museum, Oxford, Central Library, Oxford and the Oxfordshire Museum, in collaboration with Kate Clanchy, Oxford City Poet.
